A young couple allegedly committed suicide by hanging themselves at Kanutia village in Mohammadpur upazila of Magura on Wednesday.
The couple may have committed suicide some time on Wednesday night, police said after primary investigation.
The deceased are Rabiul Islam, 35, son of Habibur Rahman of the village, and his wife Khadiza Begum, 30, daughter of Surman Mollah of Kalamdhari village in under Magura Sadar upazila.
"After seeing the bodies hanging from the ceiling of the room yesterday morning, neighbours informed the police,” said Sub-inspector Siddique Hossain of Mohammadpur Police Station.
Police sent the bodies to Magura Sadar Hospital.
