Detective Branch (DB) of Police arrested 28 leaders and activists of BNP with 15 crude bombs and leaflets at Navaran Bazar in Sharsha upazila of Jessore yesterday.
The arrestees include Hasan Jahir, secretary of the upazila unit of BNP, and Rahman Milon, president of upazila Jubo Dal.
On information, a police team raided the area and arrested the BNB men with bombs.
They were arrested on charge of planning subversive activities in the area, said Yamul Haque, officer-in-charge of Jessore DB police.
A case was filed in this connection, said the OC.
