The High Court yesterday stayed the process for holding election to the post of chairman of Bogra district council till June 8, which was scheduled for today.
The bench of Justice Salma Masud Chowdhury and Justice Zafar Ahmed yesterday passed the stay order following a writ petition filed by Fahima Begum, a ward-member of Mokamtola union parishad of Bogra, challenging the legality of not including her name in the voter list.
