Tonmoy wants to live

Tonmoy Chandra Roy, a 3rd year student of accounting and information systems at Comilla University, has been diagnosed with chronic Acquired Aplastic Animia disease for which he will need to undergo bone marrow transplantation surgery. He has been admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital under Dr MR Khan.

Tonmoy's father -- a schoolteacher from Kochua upazila of Chandpur -- is the sole earner of his family, while his mother is a housewife. He completed both his SSC and HSC from Residential Model College in Dhaka. He has a younger sister.

He will need Tk 30 lakh for the transplantation and at least Tk 15 lakh for medicine and other long-term expenses, an amount which is almost impossible for his family to manage.
