Dilip Sengupta, father of Staff Reporter of bdnews24.com Uttam Sengupta, died due to a cardiac arrest at a hospital in Chittagong city early yesterday. He was 80.
He left behind his wife, three sons and a daughter.
His funeral was held in his village Chhandandi under Bolakhali upazila of Chittagong yesterday.
Vice-President of Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) Shahid-ul-Alam, BFUJ Joint Secretary General Tapan Chakraborty, President of Chittagong Union of Journalists Riaz Haider Chowdhury and its General Secretary Mohammad Ali mourned his death.
