An alleged criminal was killed in a gunfight between two groups of miscreants at Kholadanga area in Jessore district town early Saturday morning.
The deceased was identified as Rajib Ali 29, son of Mohor Ali a resident of the town.
Jessore Kotwali police recovered Rajib's bullet-ridden body after a gunfight between two groups at Kholadanga in Jessore town at around 4:00am on Saturday.
The miscreants fled the scene sensing the arrival of police.
AKM Azmal Huda, officer in-charge, Kotwali police station said Rajib was declared dead by the attending doctor at Jessore General Hospital where he was rushed by police.
Rajib was wanted in 14 cases with charges for murder, robbery and arms filed with several police stations, the OC said.
Police said they recovered a revolver, one round of bullet, 5 crude bombs and three sharp weapons from the spot.
A case has been filed in this regard.
