Body of slain Chinese national handed over

The body of Chinese national Chang Hi Sung who was allegedly killed by his employees in Jessore on Wednesday was handed over to the delegates of Chinese embassy on Friday night.

Elias Hossain, officer-in-charge of Jessore Kotwali Police Station, said Devid Ting, deputy secretary general of the embassy, received the body in front of Jessore General Hospital. Chang's wife Li Ing and her brother Chang Oalang were also present there.

The body was taken to Dhaka by a bus. Chang Hi Sung, 42, was murdered allegedly by Nazmul Hassan Parvez, an interpreter for Chang, and Muktadir Rahman Raju, nephew of Nazmul on Wednesday. Police recovered his body from his warehouse the next day.

Chang, residing in the Jail Road area of Jessore, had been running his import business of electric auto-rickshaw batteries over the past couple of years. He rented the warehouse about seven months back.

Nazmul, who also handled Chang's financial matters, had a dispute over an alleged misappropriation of money from Chang's business, said police. Both the arrestees who were detained on Wednesday, confessed to have murdered their employer before Jessore Magistrate Court on Friday afternoon, said Superintendent of Police Anisur Rahman.
