Hot Korean - Hyundai eLANTRA sPORT

Following a series of custom Hyundais shown at SEMA, Hyundai has officially released a warmed up version of the Elantra – the Sport. The upgrades include an in-your face, aggressive front bumper, rear bumper, side skirt and spoiler, plus an extra 54 HP and 61 lb-ft of torque from the Gamma 1.6 litre turbo four cylinder motor – taking the final numbers to 201 HP and 195 lb-ft torque. It'll have a traditional 6 speed manual with the option of a 7 speed DCT auto with paddle shifters.

It has stiffer construction (32% stiffer than base model) with Sport-exclusive independent multi-link rear suspension, larger front-rear stabilizer bars, higher spring and damper rates, larger brake discs and tuned steering and final drive ratios to deliver a much __more engaging drive.

The Bangladesh market gets the Elantra in its basic 1.6 form, but the Sport isn't likely to be a part of the model range sold here due to cost issues. If it does, we'll be there, promise.
