The Sun on Sunday is to start publishing a second magazine with its next issue. TV Soap, billed as 32 pages of gossip, star interviews and TV listings – will be twinned with its current glossy magazine, Fabulous.
According to a press release, TV Soap will feature “an in-depth look at the three major TV soaps: EastEnders, Coronation Street and Emmerdale”.
In addition, it will contain gossip about soaps, interviews with stars, “and many other fun features based around the current storylines”.
Victoria Newton, the SoS’s editor, describes the new mag as “an exciting new addition to the Sun on Sunday’s offer”.
She adds: “While our rivals are reducing the number of magazines in their weekend editions, the Sun on Sunday is delighted to be able to offer comprehensive new TV listings as part of our unbeatable offer”.
Well, News UK had to do something to stop the sales rot. I guess this will make life just that little bit more difficult for the Sunday Mirror, the Sunday People and the Daily Star Sunday.
